Wagon Driller, Renovation of the Brooklyn Bridge
oil on linen

52 x 58 inches
Framed - $45,000

I painted on top of the Brooklyn Bridge back in the 1980s. I went up there for over a month climbing the main cables everyday. I loved walking along with all of the people crossing the bridge to work every morning with my art materials slung over my shoulder and a paper bag with a coffee and a bagel and then stepping over onto one of the four main cables, two of which rise out of the sides of the walkway and then continuing walking upward to the top of the arch. It was probably the highlight of my 25 years in New York City. I'm putting some of those up for sale but they have a premium because of the danger aspect. Peter B. Kaplan took photos of me for the newspaper but I took this selfie.
